Home Back Fasting

We enter into prophetic worship at our Sunday Morning service. So, what is prophetic worship?

We define prophetic worship as allowing the Spirit of God to move on our musicians who in turn use their instruments to declare what God has directed. It is different then just playing a list of songs and moving from song to song, we may stay on one song for an extended period of time before moving on, or Holy Spirit may write brand new songs at that moment.

Our musicians don’t face the congregation as in a typical church setting, instead they face toward the front of the room. There are a couple of reasons for this posture, one, leaders may be prone to respond to the congregants expressions, body language and personal involvement. Our musicians want first to worship God with their instruments and voices and then they help lead others into worship of our Creator.

The other reason they face away from the congregants is to be in a “warship” position. In the Old Testament there were times when God said to put the musicians out front of the army. So our musicians face forward as if the congregation were “following” them into battle.

Psalm 115:16 tells us that the earth belongs to man and we believe as such, it is our responsibility to ask God what He wants to accomplish on the earth then agree with Him and we will then see it come to pass. Hence "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22 also I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:13-14 …If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. John 15:7. We believe that when you connect with what the Father is doing then something happens. Jesus said that He only did what He saw the Father doing and when He did that He saw results. So also we should look and listen to see what Father God is up to and do what He’s doing.

Cool huh?
